Epson, a $10B global leader in high-quality consumer electronics, imaging, and point of sale printing devices, is seeking an exceptional Business Development Team Manager to join our sales team. Under supervision, you will be responsible for winning, maintaining, and expanding relationships with assigned channel partners as well as achieving partner recruitment objectives. The Business Development Team Manager represents the entire range of Epson commercial products to assigned partners, though may focus on a specific solution or product set if focused in a partner vertical market. Join a high-energy team with a strong manager coach that will support you to flourish and succeed! Principal Accountabilities
In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Sales Strategy and Performance

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts
  • Proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis
  • Sells through partner organizations to end users in coordination with partner sales resources
  • Manages potential channel conflict with other Epson sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address end user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel
  • Ensures partner compliance with partner agreements
  • Drives adoption of company programs among assigned partners

 

Administrative

  • Develops and provides Sales Operations with monthly product forecasts
  • Adheres to all Epson administrative policies and procedures
  • Maintains Salesforce.com account database of contacts and activities
  • Provides monthly pipeline sales forecasts to sales management
  • Operates within budgetary constraints
  • Submits weekly activity/call reports

 

Relationship Management

  • Responsible for hiring, motivating, evaluating, developing group/department personnel
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to team members
  • Advises management and provides recommendations on personnel and problem issues ( that requires escalation)
  • Builds strong relationships with peers and Senior Managers to best meet company goals and objectives
  • Manages and leverages relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc.)
  • Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations


Department Management

  • Operates within budgetary constraints, participates in the development of annual budget forecasts; participates in updating and reconciling operating and budget plans as required
  • Develops and maintains written departmental standards and procedures
  • Directly contributes to development of tactical and annual operating plans, defining goals and objectives for the group

What You Will Bring:

  • Specialist experience at a more advance level (8-12 years)
  • Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.)

 

Travel

  • Up to 50%

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $100,671 and $ 191,003. Please note that this position’s salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  This position will have a 65/35 commission plan.
