As a Sr Product Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and providing input into product and market development strategy and marketing plan strategies for Epson POS Software Solutions. Being a highly motivated team leader will be essential for success. You will lead the development of the entire North America Software POS portfolio from concept through launch with the assistance of development teams from North America and Japan. You will also own the planning, positioning, financial goals, and launch activities throughout the product life cycle. The job involves frequent interaction with internal cross-functional team members, division executive staff members, partners, third-party vendors, sales teams and end customers. How you’ll do it

  • Contribute to strategic direction and provides input into product and market development and marketing plan strategies for entire POS Software Portfolio
  • Develop new business development ideas and provide recommendations and business case proposal
  • Coordinate and independently manage relationship with SEC to monitor product development process and make recommendations for meeting market needs and negotiate tradeoffs
  • Work closely with multiple Software development teams located in Canada and Japan
  • Conduct and analyze market information and makes strategic recommendations and, in some cases, decisions (ie., pricing, positioning).
  • Establish and oversee structured processes for a complete product launch for assigned product(s).
  • Oversee relationships with Marketing Communications, Documentation, Service/Support, Logistics, SEC, and other groups to manage the product throughout its lifecycle
  • Make and substantiate recommendations regarding positioning and pricing of assigned product(s).
  • Identify opportunities and provide direction to Marcom and Advertising related to execution of key advertising and promotions tactics for assigned product(s).
  • Manage Third-party partners who perform QA and Reliability testing
  • Identify, qualify and certified potential ISV partners
  • Oversee end of product lifecycle and transition to minimize inventory and ensure launch time frames are met
  • Serves as internal and external PR spokesperson and product champion for assigned product(s)
  • Support the company at events, including sales meetings and trade shows
  • Support the sales team in customer visits and presentations
  • Oversee or conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking and make recommendations and, in some cases, decisions
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with industry trade groups, analysts, and publications
  • Operate within budgetary constraints, participates in the development of annual budget forecasts

What you’ll need

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience as a Product Manager in a commercial channel, plus at least 2 years in related fields such as product marketing, technical marketing, technical pre-sales
  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Development Manager
  • Prior industry experience in Cloud Services is desire; AWS experience is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent projects (usually at different stages of the life cycle).
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, technology background is preferred
  • Strong leader and negotiator who can drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs to other leaders
