Sales Manager, Factory Automation Robotics, United States and Latin America

We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our Facotry Automation Robotics team for the US and Latin America! This person will be responsible for driving sales by managing effectiveness and efficiency of the Factory Automation Robotics sales group through Regional Sales Managers and increasing Epson brand awareness and market share.

Builds Sales:

  • Develops and implements a comprehensive sales plan, to achieve designated group sales objectives consistent with the overall company short-term and long-term objectives
  • Provides direction and assistance to Account Managers in development of territory strategic sales plans. Ensures implementation of the agreed upon Sales plans thru day to day management of Account Managers
  • Establishes a strong Epson presence within account base with senior management
  • Works closely with Account Managers and Director to determine key strategies that will build sales and minimize channel conflicts
  • Oversees all sales activity for the group, including identification of customer needs, identification and management of distribution partners, presentation of appropriate solutions and programs, and successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies
  • Ensures significant customer issues are resolved or escalated
  • Provides direction in the design and creation of sales enablement programs to achieve sales quotas and objectives
  • Collaborates with Senior Management in the creation of advertisements (e.g., direct mailings, web advertising, email mailings, etc.) and press releases and distributes the press releases
  • Ensures information on activity, trends, pricing, programs, technical, service and other competitive issues impacting sales efforts is communicated to appropriate management

Effective Sales Administration:

  • Ensures Account Manager’s input and timely update of accounts into the CRM
  • Ensures forecasting accuracy for designated group
  • Ensures that all administrative responsibilities are completed in a timely manner and that corporate policies and procedures are adhered to (e.g., expense reports, customer orders, etc)
  • Develops and provides periodic reports as defined by upper management

Relationship Management:

  • Responsible for hiring, motivating, evaluating, developing group/department personnel
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to team members
  • Advises management and provides recommendations on personnel and problem issues (that require escalation)
  • Builds strong relationships with peers and Senior Managers to best meet company goals and objectives
  • Manages and leverages relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc)
  • Minimum 10+ years of sales experience specializing in technology products and selling directly to the end-user, systems integrators, and distributors; 2+ years’ experience managing employees  
  • A background in Robotics or Factory Automation
  • Ability to build strong relationships with decision makers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential; must be comfortable giving product presentations to a group of influencers
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.), Robotics or Engineering degree preferred
  • Must reside in the Southern California, Florida or Texas area or be willing to relocate (we offer relocation packages).
  • Ability to travel 50 - 75% both domestically and internationally
