Associate Manager, Social Media Latin America

Epson, a $10B global leader in high-quality consumer electronics, imaging, and point of sale printing devices, is seeking an exceptional Associate Manager, Social Media to join our Latin America team. You will be responsible for working closely with the Marcomm team to execute paid and organic social media campaigns that enhance and support the Epson brand, and achieve Epson’s business goals. As part of the Social Media Team, the Associate Manager will be responsible for working with dedicated business units, helping them to use social media marketing to achieve their business objectives. Principal Accountabilities
In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

 

DISCIPLINE UNDERSTANDING
•    Understands how social platforms operate. Has a clear understanding of different ad types and campaign objectives in order to hold agencies accountable for social best practices, insights on reporting, and recommendations on strategy. In charge of Social media official channels, customer service and community management for Latin America and Brazil
•    Leverages agency relationships and self-educate to stay up-to-date on new platform developments. Works with agencies, platform partners and other digital media, to bring new marketing ideas to the SMMs for potential execution in B2B and B2C markets
•    Responsible for understanding our product lines and business goals and communicating those to both the media
agency and internal staff executing on organic posting
•    Responsible for Search campaigns for all categories in all countries
•    Responsible for supporting E-commerce digital media strategy for all Countries

 

PAID SOCIAL AGENCY OVERSIGHT/COLLABORATION
•    Works closely with the paid media agency to plan and implement Social Media marketing campaigns for B2C and B2B across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and other social platforms as needed
•    Communicates budget and strategy to the media agency in a media brief
•    Holds agency accountable for campaign budgets and reports on performance metrics. Reviews weekly reporting and recommendations for campaign optimization and share results internally with key stakeholders (SMMs and PMs)
•    Provides high level analysis and direction for any multivariate or A/B testing activities executed on social media

 

CREATIVE AGENCY OVERSIGHT/COLLABORATION
•    Facilitates communication with the creative agency (internal or external) to give direction regarding tone, look, and feel of social creative – as dictated by the Strategic Marketing Manager and Product Team
•    Ensures that products are featured appropriately in social creative and match Epson’s brand guidelines
•    Supplies creative notes back to the agency and hold them accountable for implementing creative direction and staying on brand
•    Keeps the creative agency on task by holding them accountable to meet deadlines and fulfill their contractual obligations with all deliverables

PROJECT MANAGEMENT/COMMUNICATION
•    Follows existing process to execute on job activities and recommend ways to improve processes over time to management
•    Prepares and circulate Media Plans, Creative Calendars, and Audience Targeting documents for approval
•    Works closely with Strategic Marketing Managers to evaluate available creative content for campaigns and create more if needed with agencies or creative services team
•    Creates external communications to partners (Agencies, PR, Spokesperson Reps) regarding social media campaigns and maintain a professional and effective communication style
•    Manages the consumer-facing side of YouTube, including strategy and implementing best practices
•    Manages and leverages relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc)


DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT

•    Lead agencies, partners and social media team
•    Participates in the development of annual budget forecasts, tracks advertising expenditures against plan and make recommendations in updating and reconciling operating and budget plans as required
•    Participates in the development of written departmental standards and procedures

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience at an intermediate level (5-8 years)
  • Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.)
  • MBA in Digital Marketing preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience working with Latin America countries preferred
