Epson, a world leader in projection technology is seeking an exceptional Associate Product Manager for our large venue projection product management team!  There’s never been a more exciting time for large scale laser projection.  At Epson, we’re redefining what’s possible in the realm of AV display for Live Events and Tours, Museums, Higher Education, and House of Worship.  The position is not only responsible for launching world-class laser projection hardware but envisioning, defining, and bringing to market a suite of services that address today’s and tomorrow’s customer expectations.  

 

You will be responsible for leading the development, planning, positioning, and launching activities of assigned Epson products and providing input into the forecasting and successful procurement of product. This position will be based out of our Los Alamitos, CA office with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule. 

 

What you will be doing:

Product Development

  • Works closely with our sales organization and customer community to understand future needs and expectations Provides input to the manager into the development of product road maps for assigned products.
  • Coordinates with Seiko Epson Corporation to monitor product development process and makes recommendations for meeting market needs to product management team.
  • Conducts and analyzes market information and provides interpretation.

 

Product Management

  • Ensures product roadmaps properly align with customer needs and expectations to drive market share growth
  • Conducts competitive analysis and benchmarking for assigned products. Works closely with Marketing Communications, Documentation, Service & Support, Logistics, Seiko Epson, and other groups to guide the product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Provides input to the manager into positioning and pricing of assigned products.
  • With limited guidance, follows structured processes for a complete product launch for assigned products.
  • Collaborates with product manager and logistics organizations to optimize product forecast and product procurement.
  • Provides input into key advertising and promotions tactics for assigned products.
  • Supports end of product lifecycle and transition to minimize inventory and ensure launch time frames are met.
  • Supports the company at events, including sales meetings and trade shows.
  • Supports the sales team in customer visits and presentations under manager supervision.
  • Conducts competitive analysis and benchmarking for assigned products.
  • Initiates and maintains relationships with industry trade groups, analysts, and publications.

 

Relationship Management

  • Establishes productive and mutually beneficial relationships with key customers across verticals
  • Builds strong relationships with peers and Senior Managers to best meet company goals and objectives.
  • Manages and leverages relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc).
  • Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations.

Skills and experience you will bring:

  • 2-5 years of proven experience in product management, preferably in technology or consumer electronics.
  • Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experienceP
  • Passion for product management, conceptualizing and bringing solutions to market that address real customer needs and can serve to establish long-term brand affinity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with international teams and navigating cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools and methodologies.

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $100,233 and $144,711. Please note that this position’s salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
