The Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for: Providing financial support to financial planning and analysis processes, including the coordination and consolidation of Business Plans, Quarterly Forecasts, and Weekly forecasts. In addition, this position supports Price analysis for United States and Canada. Preparing other ad-hoc related financial reports including the preparation of support materials for executive presentations as well as providing Financial information and interpretation based on information captured. Collaborating to develop and maintain appropriate financial systems to support the functions of the department and the company.

 

This position will be based out of Epson America’s headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA with a hybrid schedule.  At Epson, our hybrid schedule is only 6 days per month.

What you will be doing: 


Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Conducts the overall FP&A function to ensure adequate and accurate information is gathered, presented, and shared with Executives and Seiko Epson Corporation.
  • Captures and prepares the 3-month rolling forecast and the weekly Financial Forecast Process for Latin America.
  • Prepares the monthly results to the Latin America executives and directors with appropriate comparisons to plan and forecast.  In addition, supports the VP’s to prepare ad-hoc information and input it on presentation format.
  • Financial support to B-stock and E-store pricing.  Prepares Inventory analysis, Price and Availability communications, price proposals and analyzes slow moving refurbished materials 
  • Supports Price Analysis for US/CAD.  Updates and maintains current pricing databases (PAS/SharePoint)
  • Provides analysis to make recommendations for improvement, both business function and process in Latin America FP&A and Treasury 
  • Loads forecast, plan and actuals into the system for the overall consolidation of EAI reporting
  • Prepares the monthly analysis of variations requested by Seiko Epson Corporation vs Actuals, past year and forecast.
  • Prepares the preliminary timing and scheduling of Planning to EAI Latin subsidiaries to be reviewed with Management.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of appropriate financial systems to support the functions of the department and the company.

 

Accounting and Internal Controls

  • Prepares ad-hoc reporting to meet internal and external customer requirements.
  • Provides analysis to make recommendation for improvement, both business function and process.
  • To reconcile special sales incentives related to approved price exceptions with the Subsidiaries.
  • Prepare Foreign Exchange weekly analysis.

 

What you will bring:

  • Completion of undergraduate degree or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.)
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Detail orientated with excellent time management; verbal and written communication skills
  • Advance Proficiency in MS Excel including pivot tables, analysis add-ons, macros, using lookup functions, filters.
  • Knowledge of VBA preferred
  • Experience working with large data sets 
  • Strong proactive problem solving and analytical skills
  • Spanish or Portuguese speaking and writing preferred
  • SAP BI, BPC experience preferred
  • PowerBI preferred

 

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $85,450 and $110,583. Please note that this position’s salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
