Are you an entrepreneurial product marketer who is passionate about improving the way that offices work?  Epson is seeking an exceptional Associate Product Manager within our Business Inkjet printing group. This position will be based out of our Los Alamitos, CA office with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

 

Principal Accountabilities
In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:


Product Development
1. Provides input to the manager into the development of product road maps for assigned product(s)
2. Coordinates with SEC to monitor product development process and makes recommendations for meeting marketneeds to product management team
3. Conducts and analyzes market information and provides interpretation


Product Management
1. Works closely with Marketing Communications, Documentation, Service/Support, Logistics, SEC, and other groupsto guide the product throughout its lifecycle
2. Provides input to the manager into positioning and pricing of assigned product(s)
3. With limited guidance, follows structured processes for a complete product launch for assigned product(s)
4. Collaborates with product manager and logistics organizations to optimize product forecast and productprocurement
5. Provides input into key advertising and promotions tactics for assigned product(s)
6. Supports end of product lifecycle and transition to minimize inventory and ensure launch time frames are met
7. Supports the company at events, including sales meetings and trade shows
8. Supports the sales team in customer visits and presentations under manager supervision
9. Conducts competitive analysis and benchmarking for assigned product(s)
10. Initiates and maintains relationships with industry trade groups, analysts, and publications


Relationship Management
1. Responsible for hiring, motivating, evaluating, developing group/department personnel
2. Provides coaching and mentoring to team members
3. Advises management and provides recommendations on personnel and problem issues ( that require escalation)
4. Builds strong relationships with peers and Senior Managers to best meet company goals and objectives
5. Manages and leverages relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc)
6. Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations


Department Management
1. Operates within budgetary constraints, participates in the development of annual budget forecasts; participates inupdating and reconciling operating and budget plans as required
2. Develops and maintains written departmental standards and procedures
3. Directly contributes to development of tactical and annual operating plans, defining goals and objectives for the group

 

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • Requires some specialist or admin experience (2-5 years)
  • Experience in the printing industry preferred, but not required
  • Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.)
