The Project Manager, Market Research is responsible for managing market research projects and providing business consultation in support of assigned business teams and stakeholder groups.

 

This position can be remote or if local can be based out of Epson America’s headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA with a hybrid schedule.  At Epson, our hybrid schedule is only 6 days per month. 


 

What you will be doing:

 

Market Research Projects 

  • Defines business problems and needs of internal clients
  • Establishes research objectives 
  • Determines research methodology and sample frame
  • Manages vendor selection process
  • Manages project budget approval process
  • Develops discussion guides and questionnaires
  • Supervises vendor’s work
  • Reviews and analyzes results
  • Prepares and delivers results with recommendations to internal clients

 

Business Consultation

  • Be a critical business partner with internal client groups
  • Provide strategic perspective and tactical guidance
  • Lever insights and analysis to drive business decisions 

Budget Management

  • Develop annual research budget with internal client groups
  • Identify research priorities and plan spending and pacing
  • Track budget throughout budget cycle accurately
  • Coordinate with MRD budget coordinator to ensure accurate and up-to-date linkage with EAI Finance
  • Ensure that budgets are expended by end of fiscal year


 

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience with qualitative and quantitative research
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience (preferably in a business, social science or math related field) 
  • Strong Project Management experience 
  • Experience with business problem definition, developing research objectives, designing & recommending research methods, Vendor RFP & proposals, managing vendors, and analysis & reporting. 
  • Broad experience with research applications, such as qualitative research, awareness tracking, advertising testing, concept research, satisfaction research and product evaluation
  • Experience with custom research in Latin America preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with syndicated data
  • Working knowledge and use of statistics. 
  • Experience working with NPD and GFK data is a plus
  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus 
     

 

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $125,758 and $172,915. Please note that this position’s salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
